Healthy skin - a natural approach
At Heal, we work closely with skin clinics to provide their clients with support for their skin by working on an “inside out” approach. We work with gut and hormone testing, mineral testing (e.g. for zinc), and conduct thorough assessments of diet, topical treatments and aim to treat the cause of skin conditions.
This is very successful, and we want to share our approach with you in more detail here, so you can start to support your skin, your vital beautiful barrier to the outside world, naturally.
Our approach:
Initial assessment: thorough diet and lifestyle assessment session, one to one, where we ask you important questions about your health to pick up where things may be compromised. In this session, we ask very specific questions about your digestion, hormone cycle (if you are female), stress, sleep, medications, environment and more.
From here, we make recommendations tailored to you, with the goal of addressing the cause of your skin health issue, be it acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, dryness, pigmentation, perioral dermatitis, rashes, fungal infections, or any other type of skin challenge.
If testing is selected as part of the process, we then make a time to go through the results in detail with you, which is very often the “aha” moment that you are seeking. Testing can pick up things in your gut that you may never have identified; or hormone imbalances that you may have suspected, but having them proven and supported naturally and effectively can be a life-changing experience.
Our recommendations may include herbal medicine (we’re fully qualified in this area and herbal medicine can make profound shifts that nutrients along can’t achieve); rectifying deficiencies (e.g. vitamin C, Zinc), and of course giving you beautiful food recommendations to support your whole body, but especially your skin. We have a six week nutrition programme that helps you achieve this.
We follow up with you, because we care. We want to help you understand your skin, and improve it for the long term.
